What are your opening hours?

Just like any emergency service, we are open from 9am to 9pm everyday of the week, 365 days a year.

We are an "Event Based" business; therefore we are open on all major public holidays and cultural festivals!

I want to buy some products. How do I place an order?

This is simplified in 6 steps:

Step 1. If would like to place an order, you may visit the following link http://www.poojasweets.com/products.aspx
where you can find all the products we do and click on add to cart on the items you
wish to order. Your items will be listed in a column basket on the right hand side for your reference, from which you may edit the quantity or delete selected products 
 
Step 2. Once you are satisfied with the list of the items you want, click on checkout where you will be prompted to enter any promotional coupons or vouchers given to you. If you have not received any vouchers, please select continue.

Step 3.
Depending on whether you are a member and have signed in or not, you will be prompted to sign in, otherwise you will be taken straight to the Billing Section, where you enter your billing and delivery address. NOTE: Please be sure to select your State /County.

Step 4. Near the bottom of the Billing Page, you will be asked to select a preferred date for your products to be dispatched.

NOTE: We only deliver on weekdays (TUES-FRI) and for this you will need to place your order before 12pm the day before you wish to receive your goods the following working day, e.g. for delivery on Tuesday you must place your order by Monday no later than 12pm, otherwise your order will automatically be processed for the next day, i.e. Wednesday.

Step 5. Once you have entered your billing and delivery address, click on the continue button to go to the next page where you will see an overview of the products you are purchasing. Also, depending on the amount of times you have purchased from us, you will also be able to redeem your points accumulated after every transaction. You receive 1 points for every £1 you spend***.

At the bottom of the page you will have an option of either paying for your purchase via PAYPAL, a globally known online payment system, or via PROTX, which is also an online payment system in which you are able to pay using your credit / debit card.

Step 6.  Finally as soon as payment has been authorised via the payment gateway chosen in step 5, an email confirmation for your purchase will be generated along with your invoice with your unique consignment number which will enable you to track your order using the QUICK POD LINK via our courier company website (right hand side) at the following link:

When will I receive my order?

We deliver during the week days only and your order will be with you the next working day.

To place an order, you should order BEFORE 12 PM so that you receive your order the following day between 8am and 6pm.

PLEASE NOTE: If you place your order on Friday, since we do not deliver on weekends or public holidays your delivery will NOT be dispatched until Monday and therefore will be delivered to you on Tuesday.

 

A signature is required on delivery. If you think you may not be in to receive delivery, please specify any special instructions to the Pooja Sweets Team i.e. leave with a neighbour by calling us on +44 20 8672 4523.

We specifically request customers to be at their delivery address to receive their goods on the day they are informed they will receive it. If no one is available to accept delivery or if goods become unsuitable as a result of non-delivery we cannot accept liability and customers may face a re-delivery charge at the discretion of the courier company. The courier will leave a "calling card" at the recipient address and it then becomes the recipient's responsibility to contact the courier company to re-arrange a suitable delivery time and date or may otherwise collect the delivery goods from the relevant depot.

If you know your recipient is not at home during working hours, we do recommend that we deliver to a business address. Orders placed after 12pm are dispatched the next day for customers to receive the day after. Orders placed before 12pm on a Friday will be delivered the following Tuesday between 8am and 6pm.

How can you guarantee I will receive fresh sweets in good condition?

We only use freshly made sweets that have been carefully prepared and packaged at our factory for online orders. The contents of each order are then placed in bubble-wrapped and strong cartons to ensure your sweets reach you in optimum condition.

What are the delivery charges?

We offer a next working day door to door courier service in the UK*. Charges for orders weighing up to 10kg in England, Wales and most parts of Scotland is only £5.95, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland is £15.95.

I live abroad, can you deliver to me?

Yes! Pooja Sweets now offer an international service to their customers abroad! (European Countries only - but are working on other countries aswell soon!) You may order upto 10kg for the following prices below, however, if you would like to order more, additional charges apply. Please contact us for more information.

All national deliveries are delivered the next working day and all international orders are deliviered 2-5 working days after dispatch. It is recommended that international deliveries are ordered nearer the end of the week (or weekend) in order to prepare and dispatch your order the following week to reach you within the week days as many country's postal services do not operate on weekends, hence it is preferable to dispatch your goods in time to reach you.

Are your products suitable for vegetarians?

Yep. All of Pooja’s products are STRICTLY vegetarian and have been like that for the past 12 years and intend to keep it that way - free from any animal fats and egg-free.

What type of oil do you use in your savouries and sweets?

We use 100% pure vegetable oil, corn oil and sunflower oil for sweets we use pure butter ghee.

You make eggless cakes, what kind of cakes do you offer?

We do eggless cakes for Birthdays (in icing and fresh cream) and for Weddings. How can I order a cake from you?

You can place an order for an eggless cake over the phone, via email or in person at Pooja Sweets. You need to give us 5 working days notice to place your cake order for either fresh cream cake or icing.
